In May, 2010, L’anne catered a reception for our daughter and new son-in –law who were married two months earlier in Key West. We had previously rejected the idea of a catered affair as being too fussy, having uninspired food choices and being unnecessarily expensive. L’anne proved us wrong. Lanny, the owner, immediately understood what we wanted and delivered. She arranged to tour the facility, ordered all the linens, and provided the complete set up. During the reception her staff was plentiful, efficient and unobtrusive, even dealing with a refrigeration problem. Lanny was personable, fun to work with, and took a real interest in the success of the party. We were happy to turn control over to her. Importantly, she was there from the beginning to the end.
Better even than the delivery of the goods, was the food itself. Often at receptions the food is predictable and unexceptional. L’anne food was neither. This was quality, flavorful food, carefully prepared, and artfully arranged. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. We were looking for an informal affair with unusual appetizers and desserts. Instead of a price list to choose from, L’anne listened to us, made suggestions, and delivered a superb variety of unusual, attractive, and appealing treats. Every single one of our food requests was accommodated. As for wine, we met with Lanny at the restaurant well before the event and tasted several red and white wines. Again she made suggestions that were within our budget but that were superior to typical reception wines. We chose one of each that we would be pleased to be served with meals in a fine restaurant.
In the end, we were amazed at how easy L’anne made this for us. We would certainly do it the same way again and would recommend others to “talk to L’anne first”.

L’anne's Restaurant is one of the most professional restaurants that I have eaten in. By far it is the best food in the entire Chicagoland area, and perhaps the best of its kind in the midwest area.
They catered my daughter's wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center on December 30, 2005 for 228 guests under extremely ifficult circumstances (no functional kitchen) and it was phenomenal.
I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them again and again. Kei is an outstanding chef, Lanny is extremely personable, and Tonyis the hardest working gentleman you will find. Their staff is courteous and knowledgeable. There is no one I would rather have than these people feeding my friends an family.

In mid-summer last year, Chicago Golf Club hosted the bi-annual Walker Cup matches between the U.S. and Great Britain. As a member of the club, I was asked and was pleased to host a dinner for honored guests from the USGA and its counterpart organization from Britain. To facilitate the function we hired Lanny Nguyen from L'anne Restaurant as our caterer. Blessed with ideal weather, the evening was a terrific success as Lanny and her staff did an outstanding job in all facets of their responsibilities, most notably in the preparation of an excellent meal.
If you are interested in using a caterer that is first class, I highly recommend for your consideration the top notch staff at L'anne's Restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

John and I have known Lanny Nguyen and patronized her restaurant for three years. We immediately recognized her accomplished skills as a restaurateur and were fortunate to secure L'anne's services for our wedding.
Under Lanny's direction, our wedding was seamless. Lanny was involved in the planning of our wedding from the initial stages and integrated the menu, the service and the setting wonderfully. Her staff was courteous and professional. Lanny's staff left the premises as clean and organized as they had found it. The food was excellent and the presentation was beyond our expectations. Our guests, vegetarians or not, were delighted by the carving table fares, and the abundance and variety of dishes. Many of them have become customers of L'anne since.
We are enthusiastically recommending L'anne for weddings or any other events requiring high standards. Lanny went above and beyond her role of restaurateur by making our wedding a memorable day.
